Our Mission
In the spirit of boundless inspiration, Art Commons creates and nurtures spaces and opportunities for artists of all kinds to gather, make art, share art, and grow their audiences.
We are an artist-led nonprofit that produces the Issaquah Open Studio Tour and year-round programs that build a supportive and inspiring environment where artists can thrive together.
Our Vision
Our vision is for Issaquah to become a destination that attracts working artists to produce, thrive, and feel a sense of belonging.
Our Values
Conversation. Art exists because people make it. Art and the artist thrives when it sparks an interaction – be it an emotional response, a discussion of ideas, or new works.
Pluralism. Art carries greater possibility when all people and all art forms are welcome.
Challenging Norms. Change invigorates the creative spirit. It is important to explore what may be possible, even if it isn’t how things are typically done.
Abundance. There is enough to go around: more is more.
